Welkom

Welcome to my website !

This site is about electronics related subjects. My main interest is collecting, Restoration and repair of measurement and calibration gear, network analyses and I like to design and build analog circuits. Most just because I like it and sometimes on freelance basis.

All this gear is not for show because I like measurement experiments. Often  related to RF, component behavior or calibration. I have a softspot for General Radio equipment.

You also can find several tutorials and pages where I explain electronic related subjects like component behavior (f.i. parasitics like ESR), VNA use, or how to use a bridge, what to look for if you want to buy a scope, LCR meter or multimeter. But also subjects like antennas, tuners etc.

The instruments on my site are not for sale. Also not all instruments are still in my collection. I leave the pages displayed for those who search for info. I do not have unlimmited room and because I know a lot of collectors I often give thing away to other collectors or trade them to other gear. I often get things from them too. Many instruments you see here were gifts. Often in non-working condition or long not used.  Most of them  were top of the line in their  glory days and most still are top performers.

My site is for a part still in Dutch. New pages will be English. Old pages will be converted over time. This is not my native tongue so excuse me for the mistakes.

When you can measure what you are speaking about, and express it in numbers, you know something about it; but when you cannot measure it, when you cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge of it is of a meager and unsatisfactory kind; it may be the beginning of knowledge, but you have scarcely, in your thoughts, advanced it to the stage of science.

Besides this I’m a HAM, my call is PA4TIM. I’m not very much on-air because the solder iron often calls my name louder. I like tube equipt radios like the Racals and Yaesu FTdx400 , FT101. Most of the HAM gear you see found a new home because of space issues and my physical problems after two traffic accidents. I can not sit very long and that time I use most for repairing and building things.
